Nickleback, Mainstream Rock Band
Nickleback is the name of Canadian rock band based in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada. Band members include Chad Kroeger (Lead Vocals, rhythmic guitar), Mike Kroeger (Lead Guitar, backing volcals), Ryan Peake (Bass) and the drummer Daniel Adair. They are ranked 11th best rock band of 2000s. They are signed to EMI in Canada and to the Roadrunner records for the rest of the world.

Up to this date nickleback has produced six studio albums. They gained much commercial success with the album “Sliver slide up” which was certified 6x platinum in US. The album produced hit singles like “How u remind me”, “never again” and “too bad”. This break through album was released in 2001. The success story continued in the later album “The Long Road”. But after that they released the historic album “All the right reasons” which was worldwide hit (released on October 4, 2005). It was certified 7x platinum and introduced hit singles

“Photgraph”, “Savin’ me”, “Far away”, “Rock star” and “if everyone cared”. Its certification in other countries were 6x platinum in canada, 4x platinum in Australia and 2x platinum in UK. It remained in charts more than two years after its release. Latest album released is “Dark Horse” which is performing excellent as it has become 5x platinum in Canada and 2x platinum in US. Its singles “Gotta be somebody” and “If today was yours last day” are both Top 20 hit in billboard charts.
Nickleback at first was heavily criticized by critics on the basis of lack of originality. But their worldwide success has calmed down the restless spirit of critics and now they are okay in their terms. Overall nickleback has established themselves as one of the best hard rock bands of all the times.
